Clinic Tour

Entrance to STD Clinic

The STD Clinic is located in Wing 9 of the Ravenholt Public Health Center at 625 Shadow Lane. When entering the building, Wing 9 is the first set of glass doors on the right. To help ensure the privacy of your visit, we do not have the name of the clinic on the glass doors.

Take a number upon entering the STD Clinic

Upon entering the clinic, take a number from the machine located to the left of the doors and have a seat. A clerk will call your number and assist you in completing an admission form in a private station.

You will be given a slip and asked to go to the cashier (outside the clinic) to pay the $30 exam fee.

Exam room at STD Clinic

When your number is called, you will be brought through another set of doors and into an exam room.

A nurse will discuss your symptoms, take your sexual history, do a comprehensive STI exam, perform appropriate lab tests (including blood draw and urine analysis) and prescribe medication, as needed.

The nurse will also counsel you about STIs and perform mandated pre-test counseling, if ordering an HIV test.

Important Information

  • Numbers are not always called in order, but based on reason for the visit, i.e. patients with active symptoms or getting test results.
  • To help ensure your privacy, while in the waiting room or in the presence of other patients we will call you by your number instead of your name.
  • You are not permitted to use your cell phone in the clinic. We request that you turn off your phone and leave it in your handbag or pocket. If you need to make a phone call, we ask that you go outside.
  • Children are not allowed in the STD Clinic. If you must bring children to your appointment, also bring a responsible adult to watch them outside the clinic.

Busiest Times

The STD Clinic is typically busiest on Mondays and Fridays, especially after holidays. We have the fewest number of nurses available to see patients during the lunch rotation, which is between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The clinic may close early or intermittently when maximum patient volume is reached. To increase the likelihood of being seen the same day, you should come to the clinic early.

If you have questions, please call us at (702) 759-0708 or email us at STDClinic@snhdmail.org.
