West Nile Virus

The Southern Nevada Health District’s mosquito surveillance program has detected West Nile virus in a cluster of mosquitoes in the southeastern and southwestern areas of the county.
The health district announced that the county has two human cases of West Nile virus: a male under the age of 50 with the mild form of the disease, and a female, also under age 50, with the more serious form of the illness.
