News Release For Immediate Release Henderson Public Health Center to offer travel vaccines LAS VEGAS – Starting today, Monday, March 12, 2007, the Southern Nevada Health District’s public health center in Henderson will offer travel vaccines Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Travel vaccines include rabies, typhoid, and yellow fever in conjunction with all other adult vaccines. The Henderson Public Health Center is located at 520 E. Lake Mead Parkway at Burkholder Blvd. The center opened at its new location on September 6, 2006, and services currently offered include well baby check ups, family planning, women’s health care services, immunizations and flu shots, day care physicals and sports physicals, and health promotion and environmental health programs. Travel vaccines are also available at the health district’s main location, 625 Shadow Lane, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. In addition, travel vaccines are available at the health district’s clinic inside McCarran International Airport; it is recommended that clients call the airport clinic at (702) 261-5620 prior to visiting.
