Southern Nevada Health District’s Spring Valley
location offers nursing services

LAS VEGAS – December 13, 2006 – The Southern Nevada Health District is now offering nursing services at its Spring Valley location, 6330 W. Spring Mountain Road, Ste. F. Most services are available by appointment only. For more information or to make an appointment, call (702) 759-0701.

“We’re excited about expanding our services as we continue to meet the needs of our growing community,” said Dr. Donald S. Kwalick, the health district’s chief health officer. “During the past several years, we have had many requests from members of the community and from our partners about the possibility of expanding services at this location. Now we have the opportunity to enhance the health status of a neighborhood that was previously underserved.” Services at the Spring Valley location include:

Monday:
	Immunizations – childhood and adult No travel immunizations Childhood immunizations are $16 or $20 9 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
	HIV/AIDS testing Free and confidential No appointment necessary, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Thursday and Friday:
	Family planning services
		Pregnancy testing Initial and annual pelvic examinations Pap tests Birth control
	Sliding scale fee basis By appointment, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
