Flu Shots

The Southern Nevada Health District will offer flu shots on October 1, 2008. Visit our Influenza Vaccine webpage for more information.

A small fee of $30.00 is charged for the vaccination. Methods of payment for flu shots include:

  • Cash
  • Medicare Part B
  • Medicare Railroad Part B
  • Medicaid

Flu shots are recommended for all adults, but especially for those with chronic medical conditions, such as:

  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Dialysis Patients
  • Emphysema
  • Heart Disease and Stroke
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Pregnant Women
  • Transplant Patients

Children at high risk are also advised to get the vaccination. You can get the flu shot at any of the Public Health Centers during flu season.
